Urine, Blood Sugar & Rapid Tests
Walk-in
Some tests can be done at the clinic while you wait, so the result is part of the same consultation. The doctor chooses tests only where the result will change what happens next.
A normal result does not always rule out a serious problem. The doctor looks at the test together with your symptoms and examination, and arranges further tests or referral when needed.
- Urine dipstick testing, such as for a urine infection
- Urine pregnancy tests
- Finger-prick blood sugar and ketone checks, such as in people with diabetes who feel unwell
- Rapid swab tests for selected respiratory infections and strep throat
- Selected point-of-care blood tests where they help the decision
