Weight & Metabolic Health

Walk-in / By appointment

Weight is closely linked to blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and long-term heart health. Our doctors offer doctor-led assessment and management of weight-related conditions and metabolic health risks, with a plan built around you.

Management is individualised according to your medical history, risk factors and treatment requirements, with appropriate follow-up.

  • Personal assessment by a doctor
  • Investigations to check your metabolic health risks
  • A treatment plan tailored to your health and goals
  • Regular follow-up to review your progress

BMI check

Where does your weight stand?

Uses the ranges Singapore recommends for Asian adults. Worked out on your device; nothing is sent or saved.

Sex for the waist guide

Enter your height and weight to see your BMI.

BMI is a guide, not a diagnosis. It does not apply to children, and can be less accurate during pregnancy, for older adults and for very muscular people.

How it works

  1. Doctor assessment

Your doctor reviews your medical history, weight, blood pressure and lifestyle, and talks through what you would like to achieve.

  2. Health checks

Appropriate blood and other investigations assess your metabolic health risks, so your plan is based on your own results.

  3. Your treatment plan

Your doctor recommends a plan suited to your medical history and risk factors. This may include dietary and lifestyle guidance and, where clinically appropriate, prescription medication.

  4. Follow-up

Regular reviews track your progress and adjust your plan as your needs change.

Medicines you can trust

Any medication is prescribed only after a doctor's assessment and dispensed by the clinic, with follow-up from the same team.

Weight Medication & Follow-up

Walk-in / By appointment

Some people may benefit from a prescription medicine alongside changes to diet and activity. The doctor checks whether a medicine is suitable for you, based on your weight, your other health conditions, the medicines you already take and any reasons it may not be safe.

If you start a medicine, the dose is usually increased in steps. At each review the doctor checks your progress, side effects, eating and blood tests where needed, and adjusts the plan so you can continue safely.

  • Check of whether a medicine is suitable for you
  • GLP-1-based medicines and other options where appropriate
  • Step-by-step dose adjustment
  • Help with side effects such as nausea or constipation
  • Nutrition advice to protect muscle and eat well on a lower appetite
  • Monitoring and blood tests where needed

Not suitable for everyone

Weight-management medicines are prescribed only after a doctor's assessment. They are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with some medical conditions. The doctor explains the benefits, risks and costs before you decide.

Get medical help promptly if

You have severe or constant stomach pain, vomiting that does not settle, or signs of dehydration while taking a weight-management medicine.

Nutrition & Strength Support

By appointment

Lasting changes to weight and health depend on what you eat and how active you are. Where it helps, we can arrange a programme with a qualified dietitian, planned around your health conditions, routine and food preferences.

Losing weight can also mean losing muscle. We can arrange support from an exercise professional or physiotherapist, who assesses how well you move and builds a strength and activity plan that suits you.

  • Dietitian-led nutrition programme, arranged with our partners
  • Meal planning around diabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol
  • Assessment of strength, balance and everyday function
  • Strength and activity plan to help preserve muscle
  • Progress shared with your doctor

Prediabetes & Fatty Liver Risk

Walk-in / By appointment

Prediabetes means your blood sugar is higher than normal but not yet in the diabetes range. Changes made at this stage can help lower the risk of diabetes and heart disease. The doctor checks your blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and weight, and agrees goals with you.

Extra weight and high blood sugar can also lead to fat building up in the liver. The doctor assesses your risk with blood tests and, where needed, refers you for a liver scan or to a specialist.

  • Blood sugar (HbA1c) and cholesterol tests
  • Blood pressure and waist checks
  • Personal goals for diet, activity and weight
  • Liver blood tests and liver scarring risk scores
  • Referral for a liver scan or to a specialist when needed
  • Regular reviews to track your results

Keeping Weight Off

Walk-in / By appointment

Weight can return over time, especially after stopping a medicine or during a stressful period. Planned follow-up helps spot changes early and adjust your plan before they build up.

The doctor reviews your weight, health checks and any medicines, and talks through what is working and what is getting in the way.

  • Planned long-term reviews
  • Plan for reducing or stopping medicines where appropriate
  • Support after weight regain
  • Ongoing checks of blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol
